  2. Famous French People: Click here to learn something about famous French people. Once you had a look at all of them, pick one famous French person. Do some reasearch about him / her and make a PowerPoint presentation about him/ her in which you include pictures and videoclips.

Today, you are going to finalise your project. Please make sure you have at least 1-2 slides about each of the following topics:
  • The country you are going to visit
  • Its capital
  • The area which you are going to see
  • Popular sights
  • Famous people who live or lived there
  • Activities which you can to there
  • Local food
  • Different types of accommodation
  • The distance to your holiday destination from Bicester
  • 3 different types of transport to get to there

Include the details, prices, maps and pictures in your PowerPoint presentation.

Be prepared to present your work to the class next lesson.

Make sure your presentation is easy to understand for your audience.

Holiday Project 3

Transport
Today you are going to research how to get to your holiday destination.
  • Research at least 3 different types of transport (plane, train, ferry, car, coach, bus, ...) which you can use to get to your holiday destination.
  • Write down the distance in miles and kilometres
  • Work out the total costs of the journey and compare different prices for first / business class and economy class.
  • Compare the prices of different plane / train / ferry companies.


Include the details, maps and pictures in your PowerPoint presentation and double-check you are up-to-date with last-week's work!

Today you are going to research different types of accomodation at your holiday destination.
  • Research at least 3 different types of accomodation (hotel, campsite, guest house, youth hostel, ...)
  • In French list their facilities

    • ...
  • Say how much they are per night
    • single room, double room, luxurious suite

  • Say if you would like to stay there and why / why not
